Children succeed when they learn and play in a safe, healthy, stimulating and nurturing environment. Millions of children across South Africa unfortunately don’t have access to good learning environments and resources in their early years, setting their development back. We supported Early Childhood Development(ECD) Centres to ensure that the children in their schools have the best learning experience they can.
Nutritional Support
Going to bed hungry is a tragic reality for countless children across South Africa. The malnutrition caused by this hinders their brain development and can lead to lifelong growth issues. To combat this, we provide nutritious food parcels to as many caregivers and preschools as we can possibly reach in order to make sure that these children have the energy to play with friends, the focus to learn in school and a good nights rest with a full tummy. We focus on getting everything every child deserves so that they can just focus on being kids.
Parent Support
Did you know that young children need at least 8 hugs a day? The home is the most influential learning and growing environment during a child’s earliest years. By starting in the home, we can create holistic change. Through our Parent Support Groups (PSG’s), We teach parents in disadvantaged communities who can’t afford to take their young children to school how to nurture, educate and stimulate their children from home.
