Makro representative, Farzana Sonvadi, shared the value of the SUCCEED programme. “So much is contained in the word SUCCEED, it holds joy, love, beauty, discovery and magic. When a little child enters the program, a new world starts unfolding for them,” she said. Various stakeholder representatives from the Department of Social Development, Education and Penreach also shared their excitement about the launch. Mpumalanga news covered the event.
Prior to the launch, on Monday the 13th of November HWW SA and Makro staff did a mural painting at Mthobi pre-school. Following that on Tuesday, in partnership with KFC’s Add Hope, we were able to roll out our nutrition programme and gave 25 food parcels (groceries) to 25 different crèches that we will continue to support with the programme.
The launch was a great success with an attendance of over 200 people. We look forward to changing the future of many young, vulnerable children in the province.
