Recently, HOPE worldwide South Africa welcomed a group of 12 dedicated volunteers from the UK, US, and Zimbabwe for the annual HOPE Singles Corps (HSC) programme. This unique initiative brought together individuals eager to make a difference by supporting HOPE worldwide SA’s efforts with children, preschools and families in the underserved communities of Diepsloot and Olievenhoutbosch.

HSC is much more than just a volunteer experience—it’s a journey of cultural exchange, learning, empathy, and lifelong friendships. Volunteers gain an up-close understanding of the challenges faced by young children and parents in disadvantaged areas, all while witnessing the incredible resilience and strength within these communities.

This year, HSC participants worked closely with two preschools, Matshidiso Day Care Centre and Thatho Haitsi Day Care Centre, providing essential educational materials and hands-on support to improve the care and learning environment.
